About Me...

I have been practicing Iyengar Yoga for over 20 years, and have completed over 10 years of intensive teacher training. I am a certified intermediate level 3 Iyengar yoga teacher, based in the Tunbridge wells area.

Previous to my yoga teaching, I spent eleven years working in the fitness industry as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer.

What should I bring?

Please bring a 'sticky' yoga mat - I provide additional equipment for new students. If you continue to attend classes after the preliminary period, you will need to purchase your own kit. Yogamatters.com is the official Iyengar Yoga website, providing all the equipment you will need. Our yoga 'kit' comprises: sticky yoga mat, 4 foam blocks, 2 bricks (cork ones are best),1 long yoga belt, blanket (Indian ones are best) and bolster (rectangular ones are best)

What are the benefits of yoga?

Regular yoga practice guarantees an improvement in strength and flexibility. The asanas (poses) tone muscles, tissues, ligaments and joints. They boost metabolism and improve cirulation. They reduce stress, and re-balance the body both externally and internally.
